Has been established with the aim of spreading health and wellness by promoting the intake of holistically nutritious natural foods.
We believe that by promoting the intake of SPIRULINA, we can substantially contribute to a healthier India.
SPIRULINA is a superfood that has been globally acclaimed to be the richest natural source of nutrition, a powerful antioxidant, an energy booster, a potent strengthener of the immune system that protects the body from the onset of diseases.
We also aim to contribute towards the national endeavour to combat malnutrition in Indian children by donating part of the produce to under privileged children in need of supplementary nutrition.
In 2005 an open letter was published by the UNO to all governments urging the development of the technology needed to produce spirulina.
The World Food Conference of 1974, held in Rome, Italy declared Spirulina as the “Best Food for Tomorrow”.
WHO has hailed Spirulina as “The Greatest Super Food on Earth”which has all the essential nutrients required for healthy living.
IIMSAM works to promote the use of Spirulina to eradicate malnutrition and hunger, worldwide and also provide it to the underprivileged. Only 3 grams of Spirulina per day can make a substantial difference in a child’s health.
Spirulina has been proposed by both NASA (CELSS) and the European Space Agency (MELISSA) as one of the primary foods to be cultivated during long-term space missions.
